I really wish the Busboys and Poets open mics were taking off, but they seem to be resolutely “meh”. The venue just seems to be fighting me on the very existence of the event despite their initial enthusiasm when they approached me. I plan to work through the booked features and then let them figure out what else they’d like to do with their last-Tuesdays-of-the-month.
Seriously. Put it in your mailing list. Put it on your Facebook page. Put up the posters. Remember that it’s happening.
Sigh.
Featured artist Christian Alfonso was great. Such an incredible voice, a great writer. He deserved a bigger audience tonight!
