So yeah, Phily was awesome.
Our host, JJ, helped us kick off the first away show of this tour in style. It was a quick jaunt, with us returning to our base camp at about three-in-the-morning.
Originally, we had planned to set out to leave for Wilmington, NC, bright and early (read: crack of noon) on Saturday morning. However, show cancellation and rescheduling shananagans caused us to retool and aim toward Louiville, KY’s Church on the Rocks Open Mic at the Hideaway Saloon. We spent our new found time getting rob a replacement laptop for the one that just imploded.
It’s funny, how roles get shifted about. Effectively, for this trip, rob is Heather, doing all the driving and Rowan is rob, holding down the navigation and computing. Heather is the living the dream, on tour with Dar William. And Sharif is… well, he’s Sharif; strangely absent. What’s that thumping from the trunk? Normally we associate trunk with Heather and thumping with rob, but everything is a bit muddled just now.
