Oh sweet water. We just got off the stage at the Cherry Street Artisan and for some reason, the 45 minutes there felt longer than some of the 3 hour shows we’ve played recently.

The two guitarists of Stone Sugar Shake Down performing at the Cherry Street Artisan in Columbia, MO. They were both absolutely killer players – they indeed perpetrated the shred. I was pretty impressed. And I think that having a 6 piece funk / roots rock band opening (I have a picture of the full group, but they were very, very fuzzy) for us pushed us extra hard too. A good night was had.

I swear, sometimes I forget to breathe.

Heh – ending the night at the Cherry Street with a Lovely hula hoop dancer is alright by me.

A good night, but it’s so hard to crystallize a “perfect set” when we also just want to play what we damn well please. In 45 minutes it’s hard to reconcile the latter with something that a) flows nice while b) has at least 3 songs off every CD we have with us, c) makes use of the e-bow gadget factor, d) is pretty 50/50 with rob vs Heather content, e) has a nice mix of fast and slow songs and f) doesn’t have to stop dead in its tracks too many times in order to retune.

Psh… and people think we just scribble things down on a list!
