July 2nd, 2009.

The album artwork is almost done. I’ve just got to juggle text a bit, make everything fit on the back – and we’ll be a happy bunny. Scanning, painting, photoshopping, printing, painting, scanning again… it’s a long process when one’s scanner doesn’t want to have anything to do with one’s computer.
I’m filled with the growly over it.

At the moment I’m watching a progress bar crawl towards the hundred percent and trying to look away, because a watched progress bar never boils.

And then it’s off to the open mic. My brain feels sluggish, hard to focus. I HAD coffee, but managed to water the floor with it rather than get it all up in me, so I’m having to hold off on thorough caffeination until I make it over to Java Mammas. And I can’t get to Java Mammas until I’m done here. And I can’t be done here until the progress bar boils.

*ding!!!*

Heather and Rowan performing at Michos in Reisterstown, MD. Just down the street from my open mic at Java Mammas, I was running horrifically late so Heather and Rowan took the first set and were beloved by the locals.
