Saturday, September 28th found Heather and Kristen and I in the basement of the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA performing in Tom Bianchi’s Lizard Lounge Open Mic Challenge Semi-Annual Big Show (I THINK that’s how he refers to it). It’s sort of a massive winner’s circle for his weekly open mic night. We were one of 29 performers and got to the second round before being eliminated. There’s no shame in that – the other performers were all pretty amazing.

Certainly one of the most unique performers at the Lizard Lounge showdown – Shoney Lamar was theatrical and spectacular. And I think he killed his guitar.
