Below – some photo catch up …
Sunday June 29th at Republic in Takoma Park, MD.
AND Teavolve of course (June 30th)
And July 1st at The Board and Brew.
Open mic performers Alicia Rae and her sister Rachel taking advantage of the other amenities of the Board and Brew. While at the open mic I’ve seen that Mousetrap and Jenga are the most popular open-mic-performer-played games. I have no idea why. I’ve banned Hungry Hungry Hippos and the venue’s cooperated with this by conveniently “losing” the game every Tuesday night. Matt Nakoa playing at the Board and Brew open mic. But performing for NO ONE. So, I can go weeks without seeing the majority of my band, or any number of people that I have the opportunity of playing with. And so I get lulled into a false sense of simplicity thinking that since Sharif wasn’t going to make it to the Board and Brew open mic on Tuesday, June 24th, I probably didn’t need to set THAT much stuff up. So when Heather popped out. And Matt Nakoa was so good to play with. And Kristen came with. And Rowan popped in. And Bruce Lebovitz happened to show up – it sent me scrambling for a bit. But it was so, so, so worth it. (at my Board and Brew open mic in College Park, MD) Yeah, I don’t know what’s going on here. I don’t ask questions. And I generally don’t remember. It’s just me. And I gotta be me. (with Kristen Jones and Taiko performer Mark Rooney at the Board and Brew)
