Definitely an amazing night at the Dogfish Head in Gaithersburg, MD. Those guys in the foreground were TOTALLY paying attention. I mean – we really had a damned awesome room!

Mmm. What an amazing pair of shows over the last 48 hours or so. Friday night we joined forces with Matt Nakoa up at the Blue and Grey in Gettysburg, PA – for all that it’s a bar gig, we get to play what we please and we have found new volume thresholds to play it at. It’s just SO much fun to play LOUD – and Matt joining us on piano? Makes for a stunning night – but a late one. I was home by 3am, but I just couldn’t settle down and I was up till about 5.

Last night it was Gaithersburg, MD and a Dogfish Head Alehouse. Heather and I were on FIRE though I must admit I got a little sloppy in the last 20 minutes or so. I’m so grateful for that room, and for the people who were filling it. People singing along and people climbing the chairs (thanks Ana) and dancing in them (oh Peter, we need to get you to one o’ them STANDIN’ venues!) – so much good energy and sheer ilyFerocity.

And that makes me stay out late. Home by 2am. Still wired. Up till 5 again. 3.5 hours later I was up again cause it’s time for a day at House of Musical Traditions.

Matt Nakoa and Heather performing at Teavolve as my featured artist on March 30th, 2015. A stunning performance out of him – and the addition of Heather never hurts!

I probably should have a disclaimer on my shirt that says “I’m rolling on 7 hours of sleep for the whole weekend – contents of my brain may or may not reflect your reality at ALL”. Yeah, I’m going to be all like… like… gimme more coffee or I’ll bite you in the face. Roar. No sitar strings for you. Unless coffee. Rar. And definitely no clippy onny tuners unless you buy a damned banjo. BUY A BANJOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Oh man it’s going to be a long day.
