Man. I remember sunshine. I remember it from somewhere. Maybe a song? Was it in a movie or something? Was it in the beginning of the Lord of the Rings when there was all that glare from the Daystar fiercely illuminating all those garish, bright, summery colours? Was it just the colour of a Lover’s hair?
It sure wasn’t the Hell anywhere on THIS trip. I haven’t had to break out my sunglasses but once or twice and even that had more to do with freakish stage lights than it had to do with anything in the sky.
We’re driving 100 miles East back to the suburbs of Boston to record an internet hi-def show. Maybe there will be bright lights there? Sigh. And cold to boot. Cold and grey and grey and cold. It’s like someone pureed a dog’s nose and reupholstered the WORLD with it.
I mean yuck.
Heather’s iPod is immersing us in the 90s for better or for worse. More the world of alternative-pop music like Lisa Loeb than my world of grunge and metal, but it’ll do.
Our stage at the Extended Play Sessions in Norwood, MA. Really beautiful setting and a great crowd – a very fun show that probably veers towards the folkier side with its stated mission of supporting roots music – but damn we rocked the house. Bonus : Greg Klyma in the audience! Jake Jacobson came to see us and took his characteristically beautiful photographs of the night. Just an all-round fabulous show at the Extended Play Sessions in Norwood, MA. Can’t wait to see the show! Heather warming up in one of the best green rooms EVER! Our sound guy’s floating head at Extended Play Sessions in Norwood, MA.
