Got to spend a lot of yesterday recording Nelson Emokpae of Nelly’s Echo – and get to do it again today. We’re doing anything crazy-fancy, some sketches basically to take to his band so he can be firm about what he wants before we go in again and record the whole band, but good times are being had. After the recording we settled in with Mosno and sat and watched youtube videos for a while. There’s something really cool about trading favourite musicians back and forth – and beyond that – something really cool about the fact that their videos were all from The Voice and BIG concerts and stuff – and all of mine were from Teavolve, my open mics, and good friends.
I run in incredibly fine company. Recording projects currently rolling : Nelly’s Echo, Mosno Al-Moseeki, the Honest Mistakes… and then any second now I’m going to get back to recording ME as well (quick video project that we hope to hit up next week will be just one part of this).
I like saying to moments in time : dead or alive… you’re coming with me.
