Plenty of projects to keep myself busy today. Just figured I’d take a second away from them all to think about what it is that I’m up to.
I’ve come dangerously close to being finished with Lulu’s Fate’s newest CD design, and we should be sending the files for “The Cowpalace Sessions” off to Discmakers as soon as the mastering’s done!
I’m dangerously close to finishing all the mixing for The Honest Mistakes’ new CD, and a lot of that is going to be resting in the hands of Chris and Joylene for a bit because sometimes it’s time to let other ears do the listening. I’ve got three tracks that I can finalize on my own, but my computer is busy with mixing the audio from Monday night’s open mic. Not only does John Lawton want his performance from the night, but for myself I want to get some video together of Tomas Drgon’s Ukrainian swing jam!
So at the moment my main machine is chewing through an audio mix, rendering the full file while processing all the video files to boot.
Meanwhile, I JUST finished a full facelift on ilyAIMY.com, but of course, you’re ON ilyAIMY.com, so you probably know that … though of course I haven’t touched the design for the Journal, so maybe you don’t.
Audio mixes for Anthem Electric String Quartet, and then more video work for THEM.
And sometime soon I want to start recording the first real audio tracks of MY new disc in the next day or so. This is slightly complicated by the barking and arguing from next door, as well as spring busily springing outdoors, and children enjoying their time in the sun. Meh.
Also also I have to get started on Takoma Park Folk Festival stuff and now that the new website’s put back together, focus on some booking. Fortunately, speaking of “Focus”, the Focus board meeting was canceled for tonight, which I’m SLIGHTLY grateful for because of all of the above, and slightly bummed by because we need to talk about whether or not I’m running a Focus show at Falcon Ridge. Also. Laundry. Whelp, back to work!
