August 11th would’ve been my father’s 75th birthday. I lost him to cancer 15 years ago. I miss him regularly. Today we drove up to Gettysburg, PA and played a cancer benefit we regularly support. Gettysburg Rocks. Yes it does. Rob Simon wrote a check to the local cancer ward for $20,000 thanks to this weekend’s events… proud to be a part of it.
Before running up to Gettysburg, I hung out with Heather as she played one of her farmers’ markets gigs. It was fun to see her in her element, playing to kids and throwing her voice out across the fields receiving cupcakes and kale. Testing out the space at Heather’s house to make sure we’ve got room for next weekend’s Concert Window show…
