Happy birthday Heather Aubrey Lloyd! Well, almost. Heather’s birthday is Halloween. Halloween is Heather’s birthday. The two are inextricably intertwined and we always have to dress fancy for the Anniversary of her Life.
Oh. And eat candy.
Gotsta eat some candy.
We’ll be having a Halloween show in Ellicott City. You’ve been warned.
upComing and inComing.
Thurs Oct 31st – Halloween w Sonic Spell, Conor Brendan and the Wild Hunt, and ilyAIMY!
Triadelphia Permaculture Center | 12673 Triadelphia Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042 | 6pm
Rowan and Heather and Kristen and I on a cool autumnal evening along with two other great bands on a dark farm on Halloween? Sounds kind of ideal to ME. Sonic Spell is Kim Gravatt’s phenomenal funk band and Conor Brendan simply has one of the best voices on the local scene. Combine that with some ilyRAR and you’ve got a good Halloween night.
“Come for a night of music, dancing, and scary story sharing by the fire. Costumes highly encouraged.
$50 prize for best costume – Catwalk style costume competition voted on by a panel. Costume catwalk starts at 8:45pm, so be on time and bring your best.

This place gets a little chaotic, so we figured we’d bring some more chaos of our own. We played in a rare format this weekend : rob and Heather and Rowan – and it was DELICIOUS. So we’re going to do it again. That means we’ll get some Rowan songs, rob’ll get on the cajon a little, and generally… well, Kristen’s the classy one and we get a little… not classy when she’s not around.
Wandering and Wondering:
I’ve been away from my Teavolve open mic and I’m going back tonight. It’s probably as close as I’ll ever come to the feeling of coming back from summer vacation again. Well, no – it was too short – more like spring break or something?
Heather’s birthday is Thursday, and then we celebrate her actually joining ilyAIMY in November with a big show with the incredible Ayreheart in Falls Church, VA. All-in-all I’m really, fantastically glad that fall is here and it’s finally showing us a breath of fresh air, if not actually it’s true colours.
Next month we’ll also roam on down through North Carolina. We don’t actually have much but the two house concerts lined up for that trip, but we have the suspicion that’ll be enough!
