May 1st, 2021. Sidewalk Serenades.

7 slots, 5 sites. 6 sets. Many thanks to Creative Alliance for having the vision (and organization) to set these up! This was our first set. Delicious brunch and a great little cul de sac of people hanging out and listening to the music.
This was the most sidewalky of our sidewalk serenades. We played to a couple who’s son had purchased our set for him… and a UPS delivery guy, the neighbours, a bus, the other neighbours and their kid and a woman who wandered by from across the street.

Muhahahaha! Racing around Baltimore, setting up, strutting, breaking down and racing off! It’s like NERFA but with cars! This was an absurd amount of fun and … absolutely exhausting! I woke up this morning with a tripartite whammy of fatigue. If the weather had been ten degrees hotter the day would’ve been close to unbearable, but since it was stunningly perfect weather it just meant that we came home pleasantly beat. Exhausted from playing, exhausted from allergies making me feel like a single itchy tube, exhausted from the kick of a whiskey mule and a delightful band dinner… today I’ve done almost nothing but chill and write this. Absolutely delicious.
