Saturday morning in Glastonbury was idyllic minus the aches and pains of the previous day’s load in, load out, chaos and angst! The show was so wonderful it hardly mattered though. Today shalt be an easy haul, with all the streaming and mainline gear sitting at “home” and us just basically having to plug and play at Particle Accelerator, an annual suicide prevention festival.
I have no idea what turnout’s going to look like, though I imagine it’ll be much like last night at Victoria Station : enough that it’ll make me a little nervous, but few enough that in previous years I’d be disappointed. Sort of a Goldilocks crowd.
Joey drives home from the show and I worry about him driving ALL the WAY HOME solo, but he’s confident and he’s … you know… all young n vigorous n stuff.
Made sure we got to the festival in time for Kala Farnham! She WAS going to close the festival, then moved her slot to accomodate a paying gig in the evening, which then got canceled… tis the Life right now. ilyAIMY performing at the 15th Annual Particle Accelerator. Love the bubbles – most of the audience stuck to the shade further along the field.
Goodbye Irene setting up – they required a couple more channels than anticipated and ended up having to set up on our stage // they were great but t’was the demise of the schedule!!! Probably only a hundred people or so spread out over Putnam’s Rotary Park, but good times were perpetrated. Somewhat Woke wrapped out the night. They’re my new favourite Red Hot Chili Peppers / Cypress Hill Love child (plus sax).
