Oh, some would say it’s Columbus Day, but they’d be out of step with current blue state thinking. Others would say its Indigenous Peoples’ Day, but I don’t have a solid way of celebrating that EITHER. All-in-all, it’s a Monday, and a particularly MONDAY Monday at that. I’m doing some data entry and some online avoidance and generally knowing What I SHOUDL’VE Said won’t make any difference, digesting a sandwich and waiting for my open mic to kick off.
OH – and doing some quick research about time zones in Sweden since I want to wish my friend Ana a happy birthday which doesn’t take place till tomorrow here but she’s there and there it’ll be tomorrow at 6pm here.
Oh. It’s Monday. Woe is me.
In other news, successfully did NOT feed a troll. Unfortunately she probably wasn’t an ACTUAL troll and actually legitimately believed that the… and I quote… “Main Street media” was covering up “antidotal evidence” that Ivermectin was useful as a COVID cure. She must’ve tapped out of high school science before the whole difference betwixt parasites and viruses were explained, which is the thing keeping me from offering her the benefit of the doubt and thinking “well, maybe she was just using a voice to text app…”
And in OTHER other news don’t click on links in emails. Just don’t do it. If you get an email saying your so-and-so’s been hacked don’t click on the link in the email because that’s probably how they’ll hack your so-and-so. Go to the so-and-so in your browser and check with the so-and-so. PROBABLY said so-and-so is JUST FINE. Keep those passwords up-to-date and don’t believe a damned thing you get in your inbox. Any inbox. Every inbox.
Sigh. I weep for our lack of savvy.
