Man, I Love this woman. She’s a wonderful player, great writer, and just someone who fills me with joy. I Love being around Jillian, I Love working with her, and rare though it’s been, I Love getting to put her on stage. My open mics will only ever be LITTLE stages, but as long as I’ve got them to give, I’ll give them to people like this.
It was a good night overall, though BITTERLY cold. my Saturn started making an exciting grinding noise on the drive down so that added a little bit of spice to the night, but once we got started (kicking off with a really fun quartet called Poor Ellen Smith Band) all of my worries fell away and it was time to just… enjoy this THING we all do together.
