Sort of on a whim I bought us tickets to go see Cirque de Soleil tonight. Still nervous about big crowds – less the COVID side actually and moreso just the claustrophobia of it all – I bought us front row tickets. The drawing of where the seats were was NOT to sale and I had not really realized JUST how “front row” front row WAS. With knees touching one of the little stairs for performers to get up on and down off the stage we had an AMAZING view of this stunning show. These performers are human outliers, far beyond what the normal person can do. I encourage you to keep your eyes open for CdS when they’re passing through and to take advantage of their flash sales… in-person sales are still pretty crap and so though I spent… too much… on front row seats, there were plenty of decent seats still empty and flash sales in-person and even online for less than $30.
Go to Grown Up Circus my friends. DO IT.
