Day 1: longer than 24 hrs, but mostly travel – BWI – KEF (Iceland) – BRU
My quick review of PLAY airlines: it’ll get you there in one piece, for a little less money! Not an airline for the Big ‘n Tall folk.
So I understand how and why the sun set leaving Baltimore and then rose about 3 hours later as we headed north to Iceland. I do NOT understand why both the sunset and sunrise were on the left side of the plane. Were we heading south at some point??
Surprised at the amount of pushing/shoving/impatientness at the Iceland & Brussels airports. I thought Americans were the ruder ones…
George picked us up in his nifty neighborhood rental car, and we chilled out for the rest of the day at the house. The kids were there, but they moved too fast to be photographed. We’re exhausted and in bed by 8:30. Bruges tomorrow!
