Our last day before flying home. First we wandered around within a few blocks of our hotel, including Amalienborg Palace. Then we met a friend of Ana’s for brunch. She offered us a pass with free admission for all of us for Tivoli, so we decided to walk down and do that.
Tivoli wasn’t really on my list of must-do things in Copenhagen because I’m not really an amusement park/rides person – but I’m so glad we went! It’s a beautiful place to just wander around. Was built in the mid 1800s and there are lots of things to explore and plants & flowers everywhere.
Next we thought we’d check out the meatpacking district which was recommended – but there didn’t seem to be much going on. Maybe it was the time of day? So we walked back up to our hotel neighborhood, where I’d picked out a traditional Danish restaurant for dinner. It did not disappoint! And called it an early night to rest up for travel tomorrow.

We walked down a long shopping street, and at the end of it there was a sanitation truck that created possibly one of the worst smells I’ve ever smelled.
