Driving down to Takoma Park on Tuesdays has increasingly become an ordeal. Increased traffic, increased construction, increased distraction. Today at least SOME of the delay was people slowing down to flash lights and honk (presumably) for protestors on one of the overpasses. Generally there’s banners and text on the overpasses on I-95 headed towards Washington DC, but rarely are there people marching. A small but extant protest.
Maybe that put me in a good mood? Who knows – but I DO think I was my hostiest of selves tonight. It made me feel good to do what I THINK of myself as doing very well, very well.
The featured artist, Jack Lavin, was too hard on themselves – because their set was AWESOME – yes, even the part where their low E suddenly dropped a step or three. It felt like rock n roll.
We do this every Tuesday. Signup before 7. I start at 7. 7112 Willow Avenue in Takoma Park, MD. robsopenmics.ilyaimy.com for more information. For information about the photos and videos and usage thereof, please click here!
