September 17th, 2019 – Get Nupped.

(above, Sunday found ilyAIMY performing at a wedding in Frederick, MD – actually we were probably more a product of the bride’s father than the bride…) (below, just a stunning day for Love to get officialized!)

Let’s blow this pop stand.

Jimmy Blue comes to us via his boat. Freshly retired, he and his wife have been Living on their boat and Baltimore was one of their first stops. They liked Teavolve so much that they changed their travel plans to stick around a second week. No complaints from me – we don’t get enough performers playing solo on a five-string acoustic bass.

I mean it. Make a run for it. Hightail it. Race north. Abandon ship and keep it in third till we get on the highway, but it in cruise control and head to the county line and cross the state line and hit the interstate and go and go and go and go.

The world is in dire straits but I don’t even want to abandon THAT, I just want to leave the here and now. I’ve found myself weighed down by petty things, letting small grievances fester in my mind, tiny angers pooling together into one great incandescent smoldering rage that wants a way OUT but, sans any true single great offense will just find some breaking point, arcing and grounding out, stabbing towards someone who doesn’t deserve it. Last night I almost bit some sarcastic little performers’ head off over what may have been an innocent comment, but I’m just teetering on the edge of a deep chasm of anger, and I want an excuse to absolutely flip out on someone.

Getting OUT.

It’s driving AND parking. It’s noise AND silence. It’s hosting and being hosted and playing and being played.

It’s good we’re getting the fuck out, making a run for it, high tailing it to Bethlehem, PA before racing north to Massachusetts. We’re accelerating out of the toll both, hitting the interstate. Heather would like to say… “vroom”. The sun is beautiful, the road is clear. The news is OFF and Jean Rohe’s new album “Sisterly” is inspiring.
