And what I REALLY mean – I’m beat because we’ve played a LOT of really amazing shows over the past several weeks. Whether it’s churches in NY, festivals in Massachusetts, bars in DC or the freakin’ NEW DEAL CAFE – I can’t thank our friends and fans enough – I’m BEAT because I’m doing what I Love, and I’m doing it as absolutely hard as I possibly can. That would not be possible without the people who come to see us, the people who book us, and of course my dear, wonderful bandmates. I’m BEAT – which means I’m also EMOTIONALLY vulnerable. But seriously – what an amazing Life.

I wrote that last night as I sat at my computer waiting for the Excedrin PM to kick in. Jason’s response was kind of perfect, and put my sentiment in a kind of “I am Groot” voice that I must admit I truly appreciate.
Today I’m waiting on a client and using the time to listen to a rough mix of last night’s New Deal Cafe show. I’m futzing half-heartedly with WordPress formatting and thinking about moving the whole website over because… I can… and generally just fooling with things that are probably better off left alone simply because my fingertips are idle, but too exhausted from days and days of gigging to play guitar.
Heather would like to do the same.
