Why yes, now that you mention it… yes I do.

In follow up to the previous thought: it’s tricky being as personal a band as we are.  I think it’s one of the reasons we never go “viral”.  People keep us to themselves – hopefully not as a “guilty pleasure”, but we have conversations at our concerts, difficult things to translate into a larger scale.  I worry, frankly, because I tend to lock up in front of larger audiences.  Not in a stage-fright way: the songs are still performed, and if nothing else I can actually focus on my oft-forgot lyrics a little bit better – but in a communication kind of way.  I’m horribly aware of not being able to relate to the BIG audiences.  Seas of faces make it difficult for me to find my bearings, to make that connection that I find so rewarding.

Of course, I’d like more opportunities to PRACTICE on large audiences, please.  (continues to keep fingers crossed for Lilith Fair).
