Band practice went smoothly. We had to brush up on a couple of tunes that seemed a little rusty on our last couple of gigs. Afterwards I find myself slightly depressed, a little tired. I came to College Perk to maybe get some work done and hang out with a

couple of friends. I knew Mitzi was working tonight, and she’s generally good at doing a little bit of rob-mood pick-up. I’d forgotten that this is her last day at work here, and there’s a whole bunch of festivity sort of vaguely centred around her. Not really the sort of thing that I’m in the mood for.

I am, in point of fact, in the mood for puttering. SO here I am. Puttering. Verbally. Hrm.

Heather spotted him hiding under the brush at her parents' house, and he hopped into my hand without TOO much provocation. I went in and harassed her mom with him and Loved him and patted him before releasing him again. When he realized that it really WAS so much warmer in my hands, I just KNOW he regretted returning to the dark shrubbery.

The tail of a beast making its way to the feast with in my mother's pantry. For those of you who are thinking of that as a metaphor, you're all sick... Very, very sick.

Last Sunday, Heather and I went and performed back at my college, Maryland Institute, College of Art. In typical rob fashion, I was about a half hour early and used the time to wander around Bolton Hill. Once upon a time, Amy and I went for a walk in this tiny church courtyard, appreciating the silence of Baltimore under snow.

Heather's little brother, Justin, and she and I played the MICA Coffeehouse. Strangely enough, this was the most nerve-wracking show I've played in a long, long time. That feeling that I SHOULD be in familiar surroundings, but in truth, almost absolutely nothing was. It was slightly terrifying to go back to that school.
