A unique environment of music and art, Sandy Spring Museum, in partnership with rob’s Open Mics and Institute of Musical Traditions presents open mic every Tuesday from 7pm – 9.30pm. 2 pieces or 10 minutes whichever’s SHORTER, adv. registration REQUIRED (info & COVID restrictions below), house keyboard available upon request, webcast LIVE on Facebook, YouTube and Twitch. The evening is FREE but we hope you’ll bring a little something to support the night’s featured artist.

COVID precautions mean that advance registration at sandyspringmuseum.org/programs-and-events/calendar/ is required – on nights we’re indoors only the 1st 30 registrants will be admitted (and we’re probably indoors till the SPRING) – and proof of COVID vaccination is required (vax card, photo thereof, or negative test within the past 48 hours). The performance list is generated night-of so please arrive by the start of the evening. Currently masks are required inside the museum except while eating, drinking or during your performance.
You’re welcome to bring food or drink – there’s plenty of local restaurants that you can order from in advance, pick up and bring with, and we’ve got plenty of space to spread out.

Tonight our featured artist is Cherith Yuly!

Cherith Yuly, 27, Allen, NY born and raised. Lead singer of the Honky Tonk Casanovas. Her songwriting is self reflective, touching on topics of self love and it’s place within romance, on memories of friends slipped away, on recollections of home and it’s natural beauty using a mix of vivid imagery and vague comparisons to invite the listener to insert their own experiences into the music.
