It was another beautiful night, which meant another decently-crowded night. So far, I think I’m happy to just let the list play out, especially since there HAVE been times when I thought three hours was the perfect length of time for an open mic. I think I MIGHT have some vague nervousness about the fact that after the Cafe closes I’m like… the responsible party on site… and no-one could possibly really think THAT’S a great idea, but I really Love the mood of these nights. Set up is, if not chill, since it’s summer, than at least relaxed. The night runs as smooth as such a strange thing as an outdoor open mic can run, night falls, the temperature goes with it, and then at the end of the night SO FAR I’ve had plenty of help loading out. Even if I didn’t, it’s not onerous and it’s about the best a load-out can be.
