Oh my. I’m turning into THAT kind of cat owner. It’s true. I’ll find other things to write about soon, but people are worried so I wanted to put something here.
Prince is clearly in a better place, from the ou- whoa – that sounds like a death post. Prince is clearly DOING BETTER, at least from the outside. He had an ultrasound this morning and we’ll know more. Something’s up with at least one kidney and though I’m trying not to get my hopes up for a trouble-free, completely healthy cat, simply from the fact that he’s acting almost-back-to-normal we can’t help but be optimistic that this will be a Condition to be Watched and attacked with expensive diets, rather than the immediate loss of our beLoved Very Large Cat.
Thank you so much to those of you who’ve dropped us a line. The notes and the words of Love have really meant a lot. And those of you who shot us a note attached to a tip or donation? We really appreciate that too. We’re really trying to walk the line betwixt letting people know about the difficulties in our Lives with OUT it seeming like we’re asking for handouts. We hope that you, our friends, fans and family understand that we’re doing okay. It’s hard right now, and we’re eternally grateful for your support – but hope you know we’re workin’ for it and not just a very fuzzy story of woe.
I’m packing up for my Ellicott City open mic. First one of the season. And I’m so very, very glad that Prince is back home from the vet and seemingly doing okay (though the sedation has left him a little wobbly and unfortunately … inaccurate… in the litter box).
