I came prepped. I was wearing a Star Wars shirt my friend Chuck the Madd Ox gave me. I had my Star Wars coffee. I wanted my Yoda soda and brought my lightsaber.
And May the Fourth was definitely in force throughout most of Historic Ellicott City, but no-one but me played a Star Wars song. No-one but me wanted to chat about the new Visions episode by Aardmore teased in the latest trailers. For all that the night was an exquisitely-beautiful evening in one of my favourite towns, and I got to play with others and feel like I was part of my local music community – I also felt strangely alone.
We do this every Thursday at Little Market Cafe (3731 Hamilton St, Ellicott City, MD 21043) – weather permitting. And today it was MOST PERMISSIVE! Signup at 6.30, music at 7pm.
