It was my first night in about a month, freshly recovered from the long flight over the Atlantic, and Matt Pless, my featured artist, had called out sick. Though I’m sorry about that, it turned into a Lovely evening, a little more relaxed for not having the WEIGHT of the featured artist on the timeline of the night, and it was… it was what I NEEDED to come home to I think.
I was TERRIFIED I’d be too out-of-practice to perform my own songs without getting into my head about it, losing lyrics as I’m wont to do. I was pleasantly surprised that I did okay not just with that, but with pressing all the streaming buttons, webcasting all the right spells. HOWEVER, strangely enough, it’s photography that I got lax about.
Strangely, after a month of doing nothing but photograph the Living HELL out of everything around me, tonight I practically forgot my camera existed.
Must’ve been the music.
