There are definitely plenty of things you’ve got to ask for, fight for, beg for. But there are definitely opportunities and THINGS in this world that once you’ve had to ask for them, you never know what they’re worth. You don’t know if they are then offered begrudgingly or out of guilt – and unfortunately there’s no real turnaround from that. It will always be outstanding, hovering, unanswerable – and so you’ve got to decide… is it more important that you know you GET the thing? Or you know you DESERVED the thing?
