Ugh. That moment when you realize you were raised in the 80s but came of age in the 90s (so internalized is the notion that they’ll leave you alone if you can just summon the courage for that One Big Punch, but consciously ingrained is the knowledge that you don’t matter so being a slacker is just fine) – but all your current problems have more to do with people who were raised in the 60s and came of age in 70s so they are pretty firm in how things were better right before they came along and their pretty bitter about it, and wars of attrition, grudges and cold wars aren’t the answer, but an acceptable status quo.
