November 1st, 2012.

A familiar sight, what I think of as the fabulously graffittied (which I can’t spell, and may be a made up word) Red Fox building.
The Saint Louis Arch glowing in the sun.

Hrm. Today we hunted and hunted for an open mic and totally failed to dig one up. I called five places and they all had disconnected numbers. I am beaten. We’re going to go catch up with Greg from Cumberland Gap at a local bar and support some music for tonight – and I think that’ll be just fine. The bar menu has about a dozen martinis I’d like to try (I settle for just having a chocolate orange martini and a nice Irish whiskey to get me through the night) and Greg’s setlist is a mix of trad Americana tunes, Grateful Dead covers and original tunes. They all blend together – and I think we made the right choice for the night. Susan’s up and dancing and my fingers and throat could use the rest… it’s soothing to just be in the audience every once in a while.
