We do this every Tuesday, with or without me, at the SPARK at School of Musical Traditions (7112 Willow Ave., Takoma Park, MD). Signup before we get started at 7pm, randomized list. Tis the best free night of entertainment in Takoma Park on a Toosday in my opinion. House piano, webcast, 2 songs or 10 minutes whichever’s shorter, family-friendly.

I Love getting to see Heather play! Did I get to sit back and watch her play? I DID NOT! But she DID dust off “Simile Blue” for me and that did my heart some good. Also, just driving down and back, just me and her, like it was in The Beginning (don’t worry, spouses, not THAT much like The Beginning!) was just… good.

A couple of embarrassing sound incidents, some interpersonal chaos and frustrations make me glad that I’m taking a break for a while. The open mic will continue in my absence, but I’ll see y’all again mid-June!
